1st June 2020

Another sunny day, with light northerly winds and temperatures that reached 16 degrees C. During the morning’s seawatch, 47 Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, 13 Sandwich terns and two Bonxies flew north.

Wildfowl interest included two Pink-footed Geese, a Wigeon and a Tufted Duck. A Marsh Harrier flew east and a Hobby appeared over Old Fall, whilst a Greenshank flew north over Old Fall Steps. The only transient passerine migrant was a Spotted Flycatcher at the latter location.
