It was the brightest day some time being mainly sunny with a light northerly wind which had backed easterly by midday. After a frosty start, the temperature eventually reached 8C.

Without doubt the star bird of the day was an adult Kumlien’s Gull which passed close north at the Seawatching Observatory late afternoon.

Single Chiffchaffs were present at South Landing and Hartendale  and 100 Pink-feet overflew Head Farm.

At Bempton, a Waxwing flew north mid-morning, 2 Lapland Buntings flew SE towards the Outer Head and 15 Snow Buntings NW.
