A strong easterly blew all day and with the overcast conditions temperatures didn’t exceed 7C.
A seawatch at South Landing produced a Mediterranean Gull, a Pomarine Skua, 5 Eiders and 5 Common Scoters passed east whilst a Velvet Scoter, 11 Common Scoters, a Long-tailed Duck and an Arctic Skua were offshore. At the Fog Station where the highlights were 16 Eiders passing north and 4 Common Scoters south.
South Landing also held 4 Chiffchaffs and otherwise the only passerines of note were 2 Goldcrests. Wader interest included a Woodcock and a Snipe.
The only report from Bempton relates to a Snow Bunting by the cliff top path.
