The weather consisted of moderate northerly winds, prolonged sunny intervals and temperatures that reached 12 degrees C. Seawatch highlights included 24 Teal, 25 Wigeon, 67 Red-throated Divers south, a Balearic Shearwater, 41 Sooty Shearwaters and 54 Manx Shearwaters all north, 14 Arctic Skuas and 60 Bonxies south and two Pomarine Skuas (north & south); five Bottlenose Dolphins were off the Seawatch Observatory mid-evening.
Fifteen Pink-footed Geese flew south over the outer head, whilst a juvenile Little Ringed Plover and three Dunlin frequented South Landing beach. Passerine interest included eight Goldcrests, two Stonechat and a Whinchat. Birds caught during a ringing session at South Landing included four Blackcaps, three Chiffchaffs and four Meadow Pipits.
