South-westerly winds strengthened during a day that featured sunny intervals and temperatures that reached 22 degrees C. Autumn’s first Pink-footed Geese were heard heading south over the village late evening. The Thornwick area attracted six Teal, three Dunlin, a Snipe, 28 Swifts, 11 Wheatear and five Whinchat. Meanwhile, South Landing hosted a Bar-tailed Godwit and four Dunlin, with a Spotted Flycatcher at nearby South Dykes.
