A day of very strong northerly winds and frequent showers including hail; temperatures hovered at four degrees C at times, peaking at eight degrees C. Seawatching highlights included a Mute Swan, seven Eider, 17 Sandwich Terns and an Arctic Skua flying south, with three Red-throated Divers, 20 Manx Shearwaters and an Arctic Tern moving north. Thornwick Pools continued to host the Black-tailed Godwit.
