21st February 2018

A light north-westerly wind, with sunny intervals after a wet start to the day. During the morning’s seawatch, a Shelduck and one Puffin flew south, whilst 270 Fulmars, 211 Kittiwakes and a Puffin moved north. However, the highlight related to 18 Bottlenose Dolphins that headed south – involving a pod of 15 animals followed by a further three. Interesting passerine totals included 44 Magpie, 46 Fieldfare, 41 Goldfinch and 25 Yellowhammer.

West of the Dykes, two Snow Buntings flew north-west over Bempton Cliffs RSPB.
